TEAM SKIN?:   5 week carryover was broken the way it should be ….WITH AN EAGLE…team MARTIN/KEETON had a net “8” and actually an actual “8” on the par 5 # 18 finishing hole…but no they didn’t each card a birdie…oh no Johnnie scored a very respectable par and KEETON slammed his 3^rd shot home for the 1^st EAGLE for our league this year…..least wise that’s the score they turned in with likely nobody sitting around the finishing hole to watch as usual due to the weather….….just kidding …nics job  guys…

Congrats to the weekly winners above, including apparently “Joe” Dirt for scoring the first greenie. I was working off of cell phone photos of the score cards and winners sheet, so I present to you “Exhibit A” as evidence of Dirt’s accomplishment:

When I asked Ricky if he knew who Dirt was, he speculated that it was probably Timmy K and Chris must have wrote down this as short-hand for ‘Dirt Bag”. Chris entered a denial of this into the record.

HANDICAP MOVING DAY: 22 League members with perfect attendance now have new handicaps based on this year’s scores. For a handful of you, your handicaps didn’t change. For about a third of you with hot starts, you lost a stroke or two. For a “lucky” few, you’re picking up some strokes. Larry and Kyle are tied with the dubious distinction of gaining 4 strokes of handicap over last year’s averages. Congrats, I guess…

Last but not least, congratulations to Maggie, this week’s Majestic Beer Babe of the Week! According to Tony, She’s happy since she’s been here a few years and this is her first win.”

                        AOTD: drumroll please   ….the 1^st award of the season goes to Kevin Stutzman for “alleged” Hissy Fitting injured Snapper simply buying a drink (in the middle of the fairway as he was attempting to shoot even par golf for the round (which he did …congrats)… for the entire round yours truly was moaning in apparent pain after every swing attempt despite playing opponent’s encouragement.. “You don’t have to play every hole Rick”  “take it easy on yourself  Rick” “…at least have a drink to help relax and settle you down Rick”…..finally with 1 and ½ holes left  Snapper relented and hobbled to the golf cart around the white stake 150 marker when Stutz thought it a breach of ettiqut….(sp?)  now nobody but Markunas heard it (a point made in Stutz defense)  but he said it was an unmistakeable “Hissy Fit”…and as you should all know by now two things…1. The power of the pen is mine  and  2.  Hissy Fits are not allowed on league even alleged ones no matter how unlikely due to the otherwise gentlemanly nature of the the golfer involved. SO KEVIN congrats on sweeping the entire row on the sheet winning 3 golf balls on a single night…ASSHOLE!!!!

Another great year-end scramble is now in the books. The pre-round forecast and radar didn’t look hopeful but the weather ended up cooperating. Lots of low scores but Team 3 (Larry Cooper, R. Alexander, Tim Kachelski & Tony Burton) came out on top with an 11 under “61”. Congrats to the skins winners (see below) and the greenies winners: Steve Starnes, Herb Green, Larry Cooper & Matt Murany. While it’s a labor of love, putting this year-end outing together (as well as organizing the league each year) is a ton of work, so a BIG THANKS once again goes out to Ricky “Snapper” Carlson.
