MOST IMPROVED: 9 of you improved your average over 2021 but JAKE FORD did it the most at 2.19 strokes… most regressed : yours truly at 9.35 strokes from last year but even so the League average increased by only 1/3 stroke….Perfect Attendance used to be something we made fun of “GET A LIFE” but even with 19 subs posting 47 scores we still had these familiar faces present every single week: TK, Steve Markunas, Matt Murany, Jamie Leece, Steve Peltier, Paul Oginski, Herb Green, Kevin Stutzman, Larry Cooper, Ken Hochstein, Jake Ford and Dave Furey…..LOW AVG:  STEVE STARNES 38. 45  2^nd low SCOTT GREGORY 39.5

1^st place realistically has 3 favored contenders with last years winna Leece and Green clearly in control if they don’t take a big choke….sorry Jason Jake ..true you are only out of 1^st by 16 …yes doable but even if you sweep, Jamie Herb dump..   you got 2 more teams in the way including the team beating them  good luck but 4^th place is my prediction for you get complacent and let Fury and Romo catch you while you dream of better things and forget what you got….

The rest of the  league (except for the last place matchup) is so close IT IS ANYBODY’S GAME TO JUMP UP OR DOWN IN THE STANDINGS…

EDITOR ‘BLADE CORRECTION:

Jake Ford carded a “39” on July 28th, yet Gordie Strachnan was given credit for Low Actual of the night with a “40”. Jamie texted and informed me of this travesty of injustice and stolen honor on August 4th and I promised to immediately rectify. And then this was posted on the official Snappers Facebook page by the victim himself:

(and then I promptly forgot about it for 2 weeks due to the rainout on August 4th). I can’t imagine the pain and anguish Jake must have felt these last 2 weeks knowing he wasn’t get his due credit for the low actual score on 7/28 and the eventual free golf ball for this feat at the year-end festivities. So much so, that he must have went into last week’s league night with an unbridled determination to score so low that ignoring him would be impossible. The result was a par 36 actual! “Let them ignore THAT!,” Jake must have thought. Unfortunately for him, Low Score credit goes to Jamie for his -1 under “35”. You can’t win AOTD with your golf score, but it sure seems like Jamie should have received a nomination for this heartless snub.

Every excuse to this being considered and discarded by Snapper prior to the AOTD nomination almost became fruitless as no nomination came… Hey guys can I get a golf ball over here?   Silence…Further Solicitation from the other end of the balcony also brought Yawns (I see now how this league tradition is dying) finally someone mumbled a nomination… then an ambivalent 2^nd and then Jamie comes to my defense come on he hasn’t been here in weeks… he probably took the clubs out to get the spider webs off… thankfully I got the ball & scorn on a narrow vote with nearly a quorum abstaining…
